Lal Bagh
Bengaluru is a metro city which has a plethora of tourist places to offer. From historical places to shopping malls, from museums to gardens; you can visit anywhere. Since, I’m a calm-seeker, I visited Lal Bagh, a garden developed by Tipu Sultan.
The best time to Visit the destination is early morning. Walking in this place amid the scorching heat would be an intolerable experience. Moreover if you visit here early morning, you can get to meet many localites who visit the place for a morning walk.
I did a lot of macro and portrait photography. You can get to see plants of rare species over here. Entry is free.

Srirangpatna
Just on the way to Mysore comes a small town Srirangpatna. In this small town, you can visit Tipu Sultan’s summer palace, The mosque in which Tipu Sultan used to pray.
Devi Nimishamba
What I loved the most was the temple of Devi Nimishamba. You’ll notice that every temple has a Navgraha temple ( temple of nine planets) outside. The temple is out of the reach of tourists, so you would be able to get the darshan quickly.

Sangam Of Two Rivers
Near the temple campus is the sangam of two rivers- Kaveri and Netravati. I suggest you to just sit on the ghat and gaze the amalgam of the farther bluish hills with the closer green meadows. The ghat is less modified. The river is less polluted as well, you can note the colour change between the two rivers and the immersion creating the existence of a new colour. On the other side of river, Some medium sized rocks are scattered. Take time to click pictures or sketch, if you wish.

Ranganathswamy Temple
You can also visit a renowned temple over here Ranganathswami Temple, A temple dedicated to Lord Shiv. It has got a splendid architecture. On it’s walls, you can come to note the sculptures representing the different incidents from Puranas.

Market
In around the market you may find an array of different goods. But what I insist you for buying is Gulkand (A mouth freshener made of roses), Gajra(a jewelry made of flowers worn in hair), wooden articles, Watermelons, pineapples and A yellow coloured wood (the name for me is still a thingamajig) offered on shivalinga.
Being Photogenic, I posed with a watermelon. |
Appremaya Swami Temple
This is another famous temple in the Dodamallur district of Karnataka. If you get tired very quickly after waiting in long queues of temples, you can go for this. This lord Krishna Temple has almost no queues and barricades . It is the temple of Lord Krishna. Reaching this place is also easy as there is hardly any traffic. The best time to visit this place is afternoon.
I was just mesmerized by by sight from the outside decor as the temple door was adorned with flowers.
